Meet Coach Korie
My story:
My health and fitness journey began at 18, during a period of self-discovery. As an ex-athlete, the only thing I knew to do was focus on improving myself physically. To summarize all the boring details, I spent several years dabbling in all the different fitness regimens and methods: endurance running, body building, weightlifting, yoga, cycling, boxing…you name it! Eventually, I found and fell in love with CrossFit, a style of working out that made me feel like an athlete again. After college, I fully immersed myself in the CrossFit community as a full-time group class coach for 8+ years!
I also know all too well how difficult it is to eat healthy in today’s world. Life is busy, stress is high, and the food industry bombards us with conflicting information and buzzwords. My deep dive into nutrition began when I started dealing with health complications, including digestive issues, which forced me to understand how food affects every aspect of the body — how it looks, feels, performs, and recovers. I’ve learned that nutrition is often trial and error, especially as life changes. But through experience, I’ve found that success always comes back to the basics: whole foods, a balanced macro- and micronutrient approach, and fueling your body in a way that makes you feel your best. My goal is to help clients find a way of eating that works for their unique lifestyle — sustainable, flexible, and nourishing.
My coaching style:
I believe Healthy Lifestyle coaching is 20% nutrition education and 80% behavioral change and mindset. I see coaching as a collaborative partnership. My goal isn’t to tell you what to do, but to empower you to take the lead on your health transformation. No matter where you are in your journey, I meet you where you’re at with compassion and relentless encouragement!
